SRPD Response to COVID-19

SUNRISE RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT ANNOUNCES

CLOSURES RELATED TO CORONAVIRUS PUBLIC HEALTH ADVISORIES

The health and safety of our community is our highest priority. While we are excited to see people enjoying the outdoors, the volume and our inability to ensure equipment is sanitized on an ongoing basis has resulted in some additional closures including playgrounds, picnic areas, and drinking fountains. We still want you to get outside but please ensure you are following social distancing recommendations and minimize touching surfaces or amenities while in the park system. Currently SRPD Parks are OPEN but have many closed amenities and will stay open unless directed by the County of Sacramento or the State of California to close. In summary, all open grass areas, all trails, and all walking paths are open. SRPD asks that while you are in the parks that you abide by all social distancing requirements as put forth by the County health directive and to report social distancing violations please call 211 or 311. #workingtogethertobesafe.
