The Sunrise Recreation and Park District was founded in 1950 to serve communities in North East Sacramento County. Today the District is approximately 27 and a half square miles and serves a population of 163,000 in Citrus Heights, Foothill Farms and Antelope. The District operates and maintains 42 park facilities and over 500 annual recreation programs, specifically it operates three community centers and two pool facilities.
